Description

THE BEATLES. Revolver, 1966. I think this might be a first pressing.  According to the internet:  1.First pressing. August 5, 1966. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…”text. Plain white or sepia “LP advertising” inner sleeve. With or without KT tax code on the label. Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 605-1; Side 2: YEX 606-1. (see the pictures)
It also has the song listed as Dr. Robert, not Doctor Robert, which is another indicator. Somebody will know! Variation A. This is how the labels first appeared on the shelves. Still using the sans serif Arial typeset. Also, these early labels misprint the side 2 track Doctor Robert as“Dr. Robert”. These early Sans-serif labels have each song title starting on a new line with the first line purely for “Taxman” and have “Eleanor Rigby” starting on the second line down. Also something to note on these original labels is that each song title was followed by song credits and then lead vocalist.
As for condition, the vinyl is scuffed as you would expect. 48 years old! I recently copied to MP3 with no jumps, just the level of clicks and crackles you'd expect.  Laminated sleeve is good. Inner dust sheet is NOT the original, unfortunately.
If anyone knows for a fact that this is not a first issue, please let me know and I'll be happy to amend the description.
