Description
HERE is a chance to own at modest cost the withdrawn first UK pressing of The Beatles'1966 album, Revolver (PMC 7009), featuring the withdrawn mix of John Lennon's Tomorrow Never Knows, from 1966. This copy is in Good condition. Both record labels show numerous spindle marks when examined under light, displaying plenty of play over the years. When examined under halogen light, both sides of the vinyl show numerous small markings and hairlines, although nothing deep and feelable. Despite this, both sides play through well, with no skips or jumps, although background crackle and pops and clicks are present. The front laminated flipback cover is in Good condition with cracks in the lamination near the spine and bottom edge while the opening edges are feathery and there are some indentations on the unlaminated rear. A small name has been written INSIDE the opening flap. In short this is a playable collection filler which should satisfy your curiosity concerning that rather disconcerting* withdrawn mix in glorious true mono. Good luck if you are bidding (postage cost is for UK only - if you are bidding from elsewhere please contact me for a quote or wait for invoice).
*It's a curious experience, listening to this version of Tomorrow Never Knows, when you are used to all those seagull S/FX and things coming at you in unexpected places.
