Beatles 3rd State Peeled Stereo Butcher Cover w/Trunk Slick

This is an excellent chance to buy a professionally peeled (3rd State) Butcher Cover for possibly under $800. This is absolutely the real deal and not one of these crummy or botched peels that you see everyday. I have included two photos of this jacket (which was originally manufactured and then pasted over with the trunk slick in 1966 @ the Scranton PA Capitol Records factory) still in its 2nd state prior to being peeled. These genuine stereo covers are becoming impossible to purchase in great condition,especially as second states for under $1000. This is a great buy for someone that may not be ultra picky about having condition be Near Mint or VG++. Please check recent completed auctions and you will see that folks are paying nearly $800 for mediocre peeled mono covers without the removed trunk slick.

You are bidding on a genuine 1966 professionally peeled Stereo Butcher Cover that comes complete with the removed trunk slick. This is an awesome peel and a solid jacket with a few condition/age issues. Make no mistake, this is still a beauty AND it's a STEREO ! Stereo versions are said to have been produced in far smaller quantities (reported to be 5 monos to 1 stereo versions produced by Capitol in 1966) than mono versions, and good peels are especially hard to come by. Stereo versions can be quite challenging to peel as well. 

This is an excellent stereo peel with some light glue residue/horizontal lines from the pasteover process. No big tears or problems with the peel. There is a pinky fingernail tip sized indentation mark on John's face on his left cheek that was originally on the trunk slick and went through to the butcher cover but something that doesn't too badly impact this piece, but can be noticed upon very close inspection (please see close up photo of that section and ask questions prior to bidding).

Top and bottom seams and spine all have some paper loss, cracking and chipping which has been neatly secured. Please see photos for details. Does not look that bad though. We've all seen much worse. 

The back of the jacket is fairly clean with light to average ring wear and aging. 

The removed trunk slick is included and with noticeable wear, tear and wrinkling from the peel (see photo).

Stereo record that came with this is included and has not been play graded but is a later Capitol pressing in VG condition. Inner sleeve is olive colored Capitol version.

This is a used item that is being sold in "as is" condition. This cover exhibits some light glue residue/lines from the pasteover process at Capitol back in 1966.  Please refer to photos and feel free to contact me if you have questions.
