TITLE: THE BEATLES' SECOND ALBUM” (Capitol T-2080 – Mono) 1st Pressing.
COVER: LOS ANGELES #6 in FULL SHRINKWRAP with Kmart PRICE STICKER on front.
RECORD: RCA PRESSING with “W" in trail-off area.
LABELS: WEST COAST PRESSING with no times for LONG TALL SALLY & I CALL YOUR NAME.
You’re looking at a super nice copy of this 46 YEAR OLD ALBUM that has a NEAR MINT VALUE of $180.00! Here are the conditions:
ALBUM COVER: Overall Condition (VG+) A very rare example of this 1st Pressing cover still in its FULL SHRINKWRAP. (SEE IMAGES.)
Front: (Kmart PRICE STICKER) Tight SHRINKWRAP over a mostly clean cover. The only flaw in the front shrink is 4 1/2 inch split at the bottom left along the spine. I couldn’t find any breath holes on either side, but that’s not all that unusual. You see this cover in person and you’ll know it’s the original shrink wrap... As for the front cover itself, it is in really nice condition under the shrink with only some yellowing and a few minor dings along the open end. The exposed bottom left corner shows some yellowing along with a few creases. (SEE IMAGES.)
Back: (West Coast #6) The rear cover has the same yellowing and a few minor dents along the open end as the front. The shrink at the bottom of the open end has split about a half inch. The shrink looks like it was torn at the bottom right corner where the aforementioned split is. The torn section is still all there and has been carefully fastened back in place by me with a 1 inch piece of acid free tape to prevent it from tearing anymore. *** (I've provided a photo of this section with the tear and the tape outlined in blue because the tear and the tape are nearly impossible to see.) Seams: Both seams are in nice shape under the wrap with the only flaws being the lightly dinged corners at the top and bottom of the open end.
Spine: Has a 1 inch split over the word “BEATLES” and that missing 4 1/2 inch section at the bottom where there is some fraying on the text and the corner is dinged. (SEE IMAGES.)
VINYL RECORD: Overall Condition (VG+) A beautiful sounding example of this 46 YEAR OLD RECORD ALBUM. (SEE IMAGES.)
Record: Play tested. No skips. The only thing keeping this record from being NEAR MINT is some surface rubs and some spindle marks on these early Bert-Co pressings that were printed on shiny, cast-coated labels. I just finished playing this album, and even on my cheap record player, it still sounds amazing. I’ve played hundreds of Beatle albums, and this is one of the best Mono pressings I’ve ever heard. There is hardly a pop to be heard and both sides still have most of their original luster. (SEE IMAGES.)
Labels: (No times for LONG TALL SALLY or I CALL YOUR NAME.) Both of these shiny Bert-Co labels have really sharp text. There is some very light wear around the color band and, of course, those nasty spindle marks. (SEE IMAGES.)
Sleeve: Comes with original light blue, West Coast Capitol sleeve (LA 12TC-1) in fair condition with one side and the bottom taped along their entire length. (The record will be shipped inside a generic sleeve in order to protect the original sleeve.) (SEE IMAGES.)

The records will be removed from their covers and original inner sleeves and placed in acid-free paper or poly sleeves. The cover will be put in a loose-fitting polyethylene sleeve. The cost of these items is included in the Shipping & Handling charge.
