You are looking at the original, highly sought after, first UK MONO pressing of Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, the eighth studio album by the legendary Beatles.  It has the earliest matrix number (side 1: XEX 637-1 2/RLA, side 2: XEX 638-1 2/ATM).  This is the tube-cut mastering you've heard so much about!  It features the original mono mix. In other words, it was mixed hands-on by The Beatles themselves (the stereo mix was handled by engineers as an afterthought).

This is the definitive Pepper LP, the way The Beatles wanted you to hear it!


Vinyl:

Visually this LP grades EX.  The record is nice and shiny, retaining strong luster.  There are a few small surface marks and light scratches visible under bright light.  Labels are still looking good, and feature the crucial "The Gramophone Co, Ltd" & "Sold in UK" text.  Very nice collectible condition!  Playback is outstanding, with only occasional hints of surface noise and some clicks during "When I'm 64".  You can expect to hear the full, warm, MONO sound these original Parlophones are famous for! 

Cover and inserts:

The original glossy Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover is in excellent condition, with only slight ring wear and a few creases visible under bright light.  The cutouts insert is unused and perfect, with full, vibrant colors.  The original Fool psychedelic inner sleeve has some creases and some light seam splitting, but is still in good condition for its age. 

This is the one you've been looking for!

• The original mono mix from the analog master tapes!  As far as the Beatles and their producer are concerned, this is the only mix!  You haven't heard Pepper until you've heard it in glorious MONO!
