Description
THE BEATLES – SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
UK 1967 Stereo First Pressing | PCS 7027 | -1 / -1 | Low Mothers & Stampers | EX+/EX Complete Copy
A superb collector-grade UK stereo first pressing of The Beatles – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, presented here in beautiful EX+/EX condition and complete with the original Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve, Sgt. Pepper cut-outs insert, and original psychedelic inner sleeve.
This is the highly desirable early UK stereo issue on the black/yellow Parlophone label, with the essential YEX 637-1 / YEX 638-1 first stereo matrices, “Sold in U.K.” label text, The Gramophone Co. Ltd. perimeter wording, KT tax code, and low mother/stamper information.
A serious Maison Vinyl collector copy. 🌟
⭐ KEY PRESSING IDENTIFIER
The key point here is the combination of true UK stereo first-press -1 / -1 matrices with strong early mother/stamper detail:
Side 1: YEX 637-1 | Mother 1 | Stamper GRH
Side 2: YEX 638-1 | Mother 4 | Stamper GRT
That places this firmly in early UK stereo first-press territory — not a later 1960s recut or ordinary stereo reissue. For Beatles collectors, this is exactly the sort of detail that matters.

COLLECTORS NOTES
This is a particularly desirable example because it combines the major features collectors want in a UK stereo first pressing:
⭐ YEX 637-1 / YEX 638-1 first stereo matrices
⭐ Early mother/stamper codes: 1 / GRH and 4 / GRT
⭐ “Sold in U.K.” Parlophone labels
⭐ KT tax code
⭐ The Gramophone Co. Ltd. perimeter text
⭐ Original Garrod & Lofthouse stereo gatefold sleeve
⭐ Original cut-outs insert
⭐ Original psychedelic inner sleeve
⭐ Excellent overall EX+/EX presentation
UK stereo first pressings of Sgt. Pepper are always desirable, but copies with this level of completeness, early pressing detail and condition are much harder to find. This is a strong collector copy rather than a casual play copy — exactly the kind of example that belongs in a serious Beatles collection.
