THE BEATLES SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND Celebrate the 50th Anniversary with this Very First U.S. Capitol Pressing - SMAS 2653 still factory sealed!
I have collected Beatles records and memorabilia for 55 years, and have sold on Ebay for over 10 years (100% rating).
From my personal collection, this is a still sealed 1967 U.S. Capitol SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND gatefold LP, released on June 2, 1967- still amazingly factory sealed. This is the rare FIRST PRESSING of the LP, as indicated on the back cover that is without the microprint "NEMS ENTERPRISES LTD 1967" or the "ALL RIGHTS" and "MACLEN MUSIC INC." print.
The seal is tight all round. There are four breathe holes apparent in the shrinkwrap - two on the front and two on the back. A 1 3/4"x 1 3/4" original Sears Roebuck "Stereo" store price sticker remains adhered to the shrinkwrap on the upper right corner of the front cover. There are no splits or tears to the shrinkwrap. Each corner is tightly sealed, with a slight push to the upper right and left corners.
