Rare version of Vee Jay extended play 45 with hard cover picture sleeve. This is the all black label with "Vee Jay" at top in silver print, with "block style" lettering on "Vee Jay" at top. Label has thin microprint fonts on sides 1 & 2. "Ask Me Why" title on side 2 is slightly larger than rest of microprint titles. Hard to find label variation, and produced in much smaller numbers than colorband versions. This is the original styrene pressing that was manufactured in the Monarch factory. This is a very nice example of this EP and hard cover pic sleeve. The vinyl is very clean and shiny, and in sharp condition.The labels are very clean and solid looking and have no issues. The hard cover picture sleeve is in excellent shape and clean, with a couple of minor surface rub spots.
