Description
1st MONO pressing of "The Beatles Second Album". Cover is VG+ (Very Good Plus) condition and the record is VG (Very Good) condition using the grading standards of the Cox/Daniels "Price Guide For The Beatles American Records" (6th edition). These grading standards tend to be more stringent than Goldmine. This copy is Spizer version CAP 2080.MR1B (West Coast 1st Pressing). This album was released 10 April 1964. The 1st pressing had no running times for "Long Tall Sally" (ASCAP) nor "I Call Your Name" (BMI).
I accurately grade my records using a bright light so that the buyer knows exactly what they are receiving before they bid.
Record-
Standard Capitol Records black labels with rainbow perimeter and no "Subsidiary..." print. This is a Capitol Records LA plant pressing. Many scattered shallow hairlines but nothing deep. No skips or pops, though, when I played it through.
Cover-
The cover is a west coast (#5) printing. Some light minor shelf wear is noted on the front. Some minor wear to the top and bottom seams, but the spine is fully intact. No writing, no water stains, no mold stains, etc. A few minor corner bumps, but very minor. See photos.
