  Please check back often
as I plan to sell even more collectibles / oldies
Both LP’s and 45's
throughout the coming weeks & months!

I am selling records for my dad, who is a retired police officer, and has collected quite a large collection of music over the years and is running out of room for all of it!  If you have any questions *at all* about any of the albums or 45's I have listed,
*please* does not hesitate to ask.  We will be more than happy to oblige as best we can to get you an answer.

I do my best to include information that is as accurate as possible in all my listing. If on any occasion you come across anything that I have written that you know to be inaccurate, or even if you are not sure but want to clarify, please by all means, let me know so I can update the listing and be more informed for future customers.

My experience is that vinyl music collectors are very well-informed about the music they collect, and often already know and have the information they need on records before purchasing.  Regardless, I do apologize as I haven’t yet started listing tracks and in-depth information for the records in the listings but do plan to start including this information in the future.
In the meantime, If any of this information is something you would like to know..
Please don’t hesitate in asking me for it and I *will* get it to you.

WILL COMBINE SHIPPING ON MULTIPLE PURCHASES

Please inform me that you wish to/will be bidding on more than one item before the end of the first auction you are bidding on.

All LP’s and 45's are cleaned extensively by my father with the machine he uses solely for this purpose
(sorry I don’t know what it’s called!) prior to packaging/mailing and are shipped in the most secure method possible.

COMMUNICATION

I do not barrage my customers with endless notifications & emails after an auction has ended.  As anyone who buys on eBay knows, these end of auction & invoice emails are sent automatically, and it is not my wish to inundate the customer with even more email than necessary, especially if it is redundant.  If for any reason you do not receive automatic notification or invoice from eBay, or if you have any last minute questions otherwise, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to take care of it.  I check my emails and eBay site nightly and respond to questions within a day, if not sooner.  If for any reason you do not hear from me within 24 hours, please know that I am *not* ignoring you and there is a remote possibility it was accidently overlooked or that for some reason I am not feeling well.  Mistakes occur, and I ask that in these circumstances (should they arise) please follow-up with me and it will be resolved immediately.  Communication is very important to me, and as I strive to always respond to questions/inquiries, I also hope to receive the same courtesy in return.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

As a rule, all items listed for auction usually have a starting bid price well below what the item is worth, after having done thorough research of what it has sold for elsewhere.  This includes rare items, and non-rare items alike.  This is also true for the grading of each item.  As a seller it is my intention to describe each item up for auction as accurately as possible.  All gradings are based upon Goldmine Magazine’s grading system to the best of my dad’s ability and knowledge and any/all defects that can be seen visually are always noted within the listing when found.  We do our best to grade on the side of caution and frequently grade them below what others might grade at a higher level, in order to ensure total customer satisfaction and prevent any misunderstandings in the future. If for any reason this does not occur, please be aware that we are both human and mistakes do sometimes occur.  For this very reason, and because opinions of a record’s quality can sometimes differ slightly, we do have the return/refund policy mentioned.  We *want* you to be happy with your purchase!!  I know what it is like to be happy to have won an auction and be excited for its arrival, only to be disappointed when it does and it is not in the condition it was described.  Not a fun experience.  I also know what it is like to purchase something and have the item and the transaction exceed our expectations.. *this* is good for everyone concerned and is what we hope to achieve :)   My end goal is that you are a happy, satisfied customer - so that I receive positive feedback and can leave positive feedback in return - and that you will remember this and want to buy from me again.

GRADING SYSTEM

Unless otherwise noted, records are visually graded.  Although described in the below grading system, please be aware that due to health/time constraints of my father and myself, gradings on my listings are based upon the actual LP or 45 itself, and not the album or sleeve.  If you would like information on the condition of the album cover and/or sleeve, and it is not visible enough within the picture, *please* does not hesitate to ask for this information. We know that some find this information very important and do not wish for you to be without it when wanted!  When possible, any obvious defects to an album/sleeve/cover are listed within item listings.  This also applies to either original or replacement sleeves that may or may not be found. If something of this nature is mentioned in the listing but it not visible within any of the pictures and you would like more clarification - please feel free to ask me and I will do my best to obtain a picture of anything in question.

All LPs have been stored vertically on shelves in my father’s combination  music/jukebox/sports (Brooklyn Dodgers) memorabilia room all of his own - which is climate controlled - and he takes very good care of the things he treasures :)   Some items up for sale may be items he has purchased at estate and/or garage sales and not something he has owned since its release.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mint / Near Mint / Very Good Plus /  Very Good /  Good / Good Plus / Poor/ Fair

Mint (M): Absolutely perfect in every way - certainly never played, possibly even still sealed. (More on still sealed below). Should be used sparingly as a grade, if at all.

Near Mint (NM or —): A nearly perfect record. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record shows no obvious sign of wear. A 45 rpm sleeve has no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. An LP jacket has no creases, folds, seam splits or any other noticeable similar defect. No cut-out holes, either. And of course, the same is true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, and the like. Basically, Near Mint looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sign are OK.  The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but is should be barely noticeable. The center hole is not misshapen by repeated play. Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turn-up corners, or a slight seam-split. An LP jacket my have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.  In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.

Very Good (VG): Many of the defects found in a VG+ record are more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise is evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during the song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+): Good does not mean bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.  A jacket or sleeve has seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object. If it's a common item, you'll probably find another copy in better shape eventually. Pass it up. But if it's something you have been seeking for years, and the price is right, get it.

Poor (P), Fair (F): The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and/or writing. The LP jacket barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, and written upon.  Except for impossibly rare records otherwise unattainable, records in this condition should be bought or sold for no more than a few cents each.

Still Sealed (SS) : Let the buyer beware, unless it's a U.S. pressing from the last 10-15 years or so. It's too easy to reseal on. Yes, some legitimately never-opened LPs from the 1960s still exist. But if you're looking for a specific pressing, the only way you can know for sure is to open the record. Also, European imports are not factory-sealed, so if you see them advertised as sealed, someone other than the manufacturer sealed them.

PACKAGING

All vinyl sold is shipped very securely within sturdy cardboard (sometimes Lucite in certain cases) on both sides and then securely wrapped in bubble wrapped to ensure it’s safe arrival at your home.

PAYMENT

Payment method is Pay Pal instant payment or Money Order.

Payment or communication is required within 7 days of auction end, but is preferred within the first three days whenever possible.  If you cannot pay within the first 3 days, please just let me know prior to auction end so that no misunderstandings arise.  Money orders are accepted if purchased with valid, legal US tender.  If paying via money order, please let me know after auction end so I know to expect your payment beyond the 3 day preferred window.   Unfortunately, due to prior negative experiences, all payments via either method not received by the 7th day after completion of auction will require me having to file with eBay notifying them of such.  Item will then be re-listed unless extraordinary circumstances exist and a resolution has been reached immediately to prevent this.

Bottom line..  You pay FAST, I Ship FAST!  Let’s try and make our transactions together as painless as possible and endeavor to communicate when issues arise :)

MULTIPLE AUCTIONS / COMBINED SHIPPING

Please do NOT pay for every auction separately, since only PayPal profits from that.  I will be happy to combine shipping & packaging of multiple purchases in order to save time and money for both of us.  Please inform me when bidding on additional auctions, prior to the end of the first applicable auction so that I may send an amended invoice and be sure not to pack items individually ahead of time.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

Shipping & Handling covers the cost of actual shipping, insurance, signature confirmation an packaging materials only.  I do *not* charge for labor, as this is part & parcel with what a seller does and is expected to do..  I appreciate your business and am happy to serve you!

You will be notified as soon as an item is shipped, with a tracking number, when this applies.  I strive to ship all items within 3 days of having received payment, but usually sooner.  If for any reason you are in a rush to receive your item, please do not hesitate to let me know upon payment so I will be sure to have it ready and shipped immediately.  If this also means you would like an item shipped via express/overnight mail, please let me know prior to end of sale so that I may send you an amended invoice to include the price for this (USPS) and verify that this service is available to your area.

Delivery/signature confirmation and/or tracking (when available) is included with all US shipments.

Priority Mail International is the only method I will use for international purchases, the handling/insurance fee is higher due to the added customs forms.

INSURANCE

Due to the delicate nature of LP’s, experiences with prior sales, and the high value of many items I sometimes sell, I do now require buyers to purchase insurance.   This last thing I want if for the buyer not to receive an item they paid for or to receive an item damaged in shipping and have no recourse.  It I a small price to pay for piece of mind, and ensures a much happier outcome for all concerned.

FEEDBACK

Maintaing 100% feedback is very important to me and I strive to make sure that the buyer is satisfied. As a buyer myself, I know how important it is to receive the item as it was described and be happy with a purchase and transaction. Feedback is left for buyers once it has been received.  If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, I ask that you please contact me within the first two days of receipt so that we can resolve the issue together to your satisfaction - before feedback is left.  Items that do not meet with the buyer’s satisfaction may be returned, if I am notified within the initial two days of receipt by buyer and as long as it has been postmarked for its return to me on the 7th day after items’ receipt.  Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs, insurance on the return is also required, for reasons I’m sure you can understand.

Thank you for looking..

Happy bidding,

and please come back soon!
