Description

BEATLES Sgt. Pepper LP UHQR Pressing NM Vinyl Number 2447/5000

Packaging is complete, but shows some wear.

Outer Box---All eight corners are firm, sturdy and not crushed.  The lid’s front has moderate bubbling of the cloth.  (Maybe from a humid storage space?) The bottom tray and back cover of the box are fine.  There are slight signs of worn off white spots to the left of the lid by the spine, very tiny.  The silver/grey band at the top which resembles duct tape, also has light to moderate black areas of wear, front and back.

Booklet and Certificate---Both are flat and crisp with razor-sharp corners.  The booklet has light yellowing around the edges on the front.  The back of the booklet has been affected heavily by the chemical reactions of yellowing.  There is a distinct line 2/3 of the way down, stopping at the point where the booklet is housed inside the envelope.  The certificate of authenticity is fine.  The housing envelope itself also has some light yellowing around the edges.

Mobile Fidelity White Cardboard Sleeve---All corners are sharp, all four sides of the sleeve are flat.  As with the rest of the outer box, it shows signs of yellowing around the edges.

UHQR Black Cardboard Sleeve---Very beautiful flat sleeve with razor-sharp corners.  There is absolutely no wear to the front and back.  All the original gloss and cloth texture is as shiny as the day of issue.  However, there is a center split at the top, and another on the spine.  Both appear to have been repaired modestly.

Vinyl---Stunning heavy 180g platter lies completely flat on the table during play.  There is not a single hairline scratch to be found anywhere on either side under a bright bare bulb.  The vinyl is still static new.  Housed in a rice paper sleeve, which is fully intact with no splits.  If I were given to use the term, “Mint” on a record, I’d use it on this one.

Labels---Both labels are clean, and free from any writing, stickers, dirt, etc.  However, each label has a spindle mark from the previous owner.  I’ve never played this disc as I don’t have a turntable that’s high-end enough to notice a difference.

Other---Both thick black foam pads are present and in great condition.  This copy is number 2447/5000.  Just under the 50% mark.

If you plan to bid, please read this first…

For the second time in two weeks, I’ve had a very high bid cancelled on my auctions. A third buyer who won her auction told me she was going to withhold payment for two days while she decided whether she wanted the LP.  All of these LP’s were in the triple digits. Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay?

Thanks!

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
