This is the rare 1967 MONO UK 1st Press of ' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ' by The Beatles. This complete 1st press is on the yellow and black Parlophone label with 'Sold In The U.K.' and 'The Gramophone Co.' texts!! It has the earliest -1/-1  matrix and 1st Press UK GATEFOLD 'Garrod & Lofthouse' laminated sleeve. This is one of The Beatles' rarest LPs!!! Any fan of The Beatles or 60s music in general will want this in their collection.

The record is in  Very Good condition. It has a bright shine with only a few MEGA LIGHT hairlines, a few LIGHT scufflines, and a few light paper scuffs (only visible under bright sun or lamp light) on each side. On playing the sound is extremely good, sharp and clear, but there is some light crackle and a some light pops. This crackle is ALMOST ALL contained between the tracks and in the run-ins!! There are NO jumps, NO clicks, NO loud pops, NO heavy crackle in the music, NO skips, NO sticks, NO groovewear, NO warps and NO distortion!!! The yellow and black Parlophone label has retained its deep black background and yellow and silver texts are sharp!!! There is ALMOST NO spindle wear (only a few VERY slight touches)!!! Sadly, the red/white inner is missing, but the cut-out insert has been retained completely intact!!!!

The unlaminated UK 1st press sleeve is in  Very Good  condition. The image is still sharp. The printing is bold, but there are a few light creases. The unlaminated internal cover is in Excellent condition. The whole cover still feels very solid, but the spine has some wear and the title can no longer be seen. There is also some VERY light corner wear. There is NO writing, NO tears, NO splits, NO edgewear, NO serious damage, and NO feathering to the opening edge!
