Very Rare Original 60's Iranian Pressing on the rarely seen Monogram Label # 221 of this unique Picture Sleeve EP credited to the Beatles, when in fact it's John Lennon, with Side 2 being a couple of Rolling Stones tracks. Even though this EP has a large Apple on the front cover, it was not an official Apple release, as there were not ever any in Iran.
Iranian pressings of Rock & Pop artists issued in the 1960's - 1970's were nearly always not official record company sanctioned releases, issued as EPs combining a number of artists and their recent hit records. They were mainly bought by the middle class westernised Iranians, who fled the country (mostly overnight) after the Islamic Revolution in 1979, leaving all but their most treasured/valuable possessions behind. The new regime considered "pop" music decadent & superficial and banned it, prompting the destroying of almost all vinyl records, resulting in Iranian records released in the 1960's & 70's being very rare, especially those in picture sleeves which are in good condition.
Still today, Pop music in Iran is subject to strict regulation. A permit from the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance (also known as Ershaad) is needed to perform or publish music. Officially, there is a three-year waiting period for each album to get a permit.

Record has a couple of visible marks on the A Side and a small indent (pressing fault), but plays well, with only occasional faint clicks/pops. The B side is clean
Picture Sleeve has creasing around where the record is and a bumped corner bottom corner, due to thinness of the paper sleeve. It has a split/separation to the bottom edge right corner, which extends just over 1 inch and has a small tear (clean/no paper loss) by the bottom opening of Paul McCartney's waistcoat (see scan). There are no other tears, staining, separations or writing Inner Sleeve original brown inner in near mint condition. No splits, writing, stains, tears or separations. Labels are clean and unblemished, but on the A side there is slight fraying/paper loss around the hole (see scan)

Mint
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Payment Payment is preferred via PAYPAL, but I will also accept payment from UK based buyers via cheque or postal orders, but if you chose to pay via these, you items will not be despatched until after 5 working days when the payment has cleared. Shipping All items are sent securely packaged in purpose made mailers with 2 cardboard stiffners, the record inserted in a brand new polythene sleeve & the record removed from the outer sleeve , to ensure they reach you in the condition they were when dispatched. UK packages are sent 2nd class, as there appears to be only a minor difference in delivery times between 1st & 2nd class which the additional charge does not seem to warrant. I aim to dispatch all packages within one day of payment, and update the status on to Ebay either on the day of dispatch or the following day, so that you are fully aware of the progress of dispatched items. Return Policy Returns are accepted in the unlikely event that the item purchased does not match the grading given and it is returned in the condition sent and in packaging comparable to that which it was originally sent in. I respectfully request that before returning, you please contact me and advise me of the situation If there is not a fault but another reason you wish to return it, please contact me and I will do my utmost to resolve the situation, but be advised that I will not reimburse the return postage costs if the item is being returned for any reason other than being faulty or “not as described” unless it has been agreed prior to being returned.
