Description
This is an incredibly rare copy of Tony Sheridan with The Beatles 'My Bonnie' mono EP on German Polydor (catalogue number 21610) which was released on July 12th 1963, the same day Parlophone released the 'Twist & shout' EP, although the tracks were recorded on June 22nd 1961. The line up is Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Pete Best and Tony Sheridan on vocals, except for 'Cry for a shadow' which is a Shadows inspired instrumental without Sheridan. The other tracks are 'My Bonnie', 'The Saints' and 'Why'. This was released as a blatant attempt to cash in on The Beatles new found fame but didn't sell in huge quantities as it was up against 'Twist & shout'. The record was pressed without a centre so the previous owner has sellotaped in a centre which may (or may not) be removed without too much damage although I wasn't keen on trying it myself. The vinyl is in good condition but has audible crackles during the quiet bits. The glossy sleeve is pretty good with no tears, just the usual wear you would expect from a record of that era.
