NOTES
On offer here a very rare, moreover, a very unusual release of well known The Beatles' Beat. Pressed for EXPORT to France in 1978 (when Odeon issued several "special" editions like, for instance, the "White Album" on White vinyl), it still holds an 062 catalog prefix, a numbering system that dates back to the late 60s. As of late 1970, German Odeon had switched to a "072" prefixing. Export is indicated, too, by the round silver Pathe Marconi "A" sticker on back of cover.
Existence of this release is often unknown or doubted, because of its "062" prefix. Certain collectors doubt the release year 1978 and tend to mix it up with the 1969 second press. However, another "oddity", hybrid labels, brings light into the darkness: While Label A still comes as a "classic" late-60s Blue Odeon, Side B holds an "LC"-Code (label code)! The "LC" system was introduced by German GVL (a collecting society) on May 01, 1976, only (adopted to unambigously identify records by the "International Federation of the Phonographic Industry", IFPI, in 1977).
Solid German vinyl that comes in a straight MINT/MINUS quality. An excellent plus cover rounds the picture. This is a highly collectible copy, very hard to find cos very "exotic", not to mention its allover stunning condition. A "must-have" if still missing on your shelf.
The Beatles' Beat is a German non-unique compilation, also published in the Netherlands (1969, Yellow Odeon, 1C 062-04 363), and Japan (1978, Odeon, EAS-81057).

Audible checks are performed with a Pro-Ject Audio system connected to a DENON PMA 520-AE amplifier, with a Sennheiser 350 headset. Remarks As for the Cover and related issues, please refer to pictures provided right after. Spine is in a 100 percent perfect condition.
The fully laminated cover is completely glossy, made of strong cardboard. No signs of ring wear, no writings, spots. Edges have slight wear.
Verdict front/back NM-/NM.
Both labels are absolutely clean. No writings, stains, tears, or spots. No spindle hole damages, nothing. MINT.
Vinyl is shiny, both sides. Absolutely no issues. Since Side A looks like unplayed, we carefully grade A/B MINT/MINT MINUS
Due to the vinyl's stunning condition, this record has not been graded audible.

We are Collectors, hence every record is stored (and will be sent) in a sophisticated way. Many experienced collectors were thrilled by our unique, bullet-proof "packing technicque". Original cover, inner sleeve(s), prospective inserts, and/or whatever may come across, are stored separately. The vinyl sits in a neutral antistatic, padded inner sleeve, which is housed in a stable, neutral cardboard cover. Package is protected by one (or more) transparent plastic sleeves. Finally, all items are being wrapped with thick bubble foil and go to a professional record mailer, which is then being properly sealed with water-resistant tape.
