BEATLES UK – ABBEY ROAD LP, very first press, mispress misaligned Apple logo sleeve.
1969 PCS 7088 - APPLE RECORD LABELS.
A UK very first press album in 100% original condition, featuring:
1. a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve,
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. For its age the four corners of the sleeve have remained sharp. The thin spine is straight and white in colour and in excellent condition, all the text is clear to read. As this is a very first pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were changed and the Apple logo was correctly aligned with the song listing. Theres NO pen writing, stains, splits, tears on the sleeve. There are some light laminate creases here and there.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original plain white sleeve with the text ‘Patent Nos. 112,5555’ on. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE VINYL: is in very good++ condition, the vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained dark and glossy in appearance.
The Matrix are : YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 – 1,
The Mother/Stampers are : ‘3 O P G’ and ‘1 M M T’.
THE AUDIO: is very good, it plays very well with some light crackle and the odd ‘tick’ here and there, overall a nice clean sound, an excellent playing copy. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays well with NO jump or skips from the needle.
THE LABELS: are in near excellent condition. As this is a very first pressing side one shows a DARK Green Apple. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
