BEATLES UK – ABBEY ROAD LP - MISALIGNED APPLE - ORIGINAL STEREO.
1969 PCS 7088 - APPLE RECORD LABEL.
An original UK first press album in 100% excellent+ original condition featuring a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve.
The record label on side Two DOES list the track ‘Her Majesty’, on these first pressings this track does NOT normally appear on the record label.
Also unusually on side Two of the record label, this record shows a ‘ Brown Apple Core ’ detail.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, the full laminate sleeve has an excellent glass like glossy laminate finish. The spine is thin and in excellent+ condition and all the text is clear. The Four corners of the sleeve are sharp, the sleeve EVEN smells new !. The very first press copies of this sleeve featured the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned with the song listings !. EMI were quick to correct this and later sleeves had the Apple logo aligned correctly with the song listing !. The sleeve has NO tears, stains or Pen writing.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, it is the original white ‘ Patent No. 112, 5555 ’ on it. There are NO tears, rubbing edge wear, stains or Pen writing on it.
THE VINYL: is in excellent+ condition, it is made from thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl has a brand new look to it, it is very dark and very glossy.
The Matrix is: YEX 749-2 and YEX 750-1,
The Mother / Stampers are : ‘ 4 O L R ’ and ‘ 1 M M M ’.
THE AUDIO: is very good, there is some crackle to be heard, the audio does improve with each track. I feel that the audio would improve with a professional clean as the playing surfaces are so good. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays without the needle sticking or jumping.
THE LABELS: are in excellent condition and being a first pressing show a DARK Green Apple. The song ‘Her Majesty’ DOES appear on the label on side Two. Unusually the White side of the record label show a ‘Brown Apple Core detail, normally these labels are mainly white in colour !.
