BEATLES UK  –  ABBEY ROAD LP, first press, mispress misaligned Apple logo sleeve.

1969 PCS 7088 -  APPLE RECORD LABELS.

A UK very first press album in 100% original condition, featuring:

1. a  Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve,

2. the track ‘Her Majesty’ is NOT printed on the record label on side two nor is it printed on the rear of the sleeve BUT the track  DOES play on the record !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in excellent condition, the sleeve is fully laminated.  The thin spine is in excellent condition and all the text is clear to read.  As this is a very first pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !.  EMI were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were changed and the Apple logo was correctly aligned with the song listing. Theres  NO pen writing, stains, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.   

THE INNER SLEEVE:  is in excellent+ condition and is the original EMI white sleeve with the text ‘ Patent No 1,125,555’,  an excellent very clean, white sleeve. There are NO tears, splits, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. 

THE VINYL:  is in excellent condition, the vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It is very dark and glossy in appearance, it is clear that  it has seen little play.

The Matrix are :    YEX  749 – 2  and  YEX  750  –  1,

The Mother/Stampers are :  ‘5    G D O’  and ‘ 2    G D R’.

THE AUDIO: side one is excellent, one of the best audio playbacks  I have heard,  side two is also excellent,  although I did hear a light ‘tick’ on the tracks ‘The End’ and ‘Her Majesty’. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays well without the needle sticking or jumping. 

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, there are some signs of  ‘spindle tracks’ on each of the labels, but still an excellent set of labels. As this is a first pressing side one shows a DARK Green Apple.  The song  ‘ Her Majesty’ does NOT appear on the label. The labels are free from pen writing,  stickers or sticker residue.
