Description
BEATLES UK – ABBEY ROAD LP, very first press, mispress misaligned Apple logo sleeve. 1969 PCS 7088 - APPLE RECORD LABELS.
A UK very first press album in 100% original condition, featuring:
1. a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve,
2. the track ‘Her Majesty’ is NOT printed on the record label on side two nor is it printed on the rear of the sleeve BUT the track DOES play on the record !
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The thin spine is straight and white in colour and in excellent condition, all the text is clear to read. As this is a very first pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were changed and the Apple logo was correctly aligned with the song listing. Theres NO pen writing, stains, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original plain white sleeve with the text ‘Patent No. 1,125,555’ on. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There are slight signs of an edge split to the bottom edge.
THE VINYL: is in very good+ condition, the vinyl shows some light ‘scuff’ marks each side, the vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained dark and glossy in appearance.
The Matrix are : YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 – 1,
The Mother/Stampers are : ‘7 M M O’ and ‘1 A A A’.
THE AUDIO: is very good, it plays well with some ‘light crackle’, still a very good playing copy. The record lays flay on the turntable.
THE LABELS: side one is in very good condition, side two is in very good++ condition. As this is a very first pressing side one shows a DARK Green Apple. The song ‘Her Majesty’ does NOT appear on the label. The labels are free from pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
