BEATLES UK, Let it Be, crossover record matrix and record labels, early 1970 UK LP.

PCS 7096, UK 1970 crossover Apple record labels.

An early UK issue from 1970 in original condition, featuring:

1. the record features two different styles of record label. Side one features the earliest 'dark green' record label with the earliest, 'bolder', 'Sans Serif' text font. On side two, the record label features a 'matt finish', and a 'slimmer', 'Sans Serif' text font,

2. each record label features a ‘ridge’, 5mm in from the outer edge of the record label,

3. 'cross over' UK record matrix of, 3U / 2U,

4. the card sleeve features the original period ‘thin’ spine,

5. comes with its original period plain white EMI inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition. The sleeve has an excellent quality, glossy laminate, front and rear. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in excellent condition and has remained clean and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original period, plain white EMI inner sleeve with the text ‘Patent no. 1,125,555’. An excellent clean white original, 'crease' free inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is made from the period, thick grade quality paper and the inside of the sleeve has a ‘textured’ surface. There are NO tears, pen writing, splits, stickers or sticker to the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in MINT condition, viewing the record under normal 'daylight' conditions I cannot see any 'marks' at all on the playing surface. Side two, there is a small 'mark' on track three, so I will grade track three as in very good+ condition, the rest of side two is in near MINT condition. Note - the condition of the playing surfaces have been judged under normal 'daylight' conditions. The record is made from the period 1960s ‘thick’, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy, it looks almost like new.

The records matrix are: YEX 773 – 3U and YEX 774 – 2U,

The 'mother / stampers' are: ‘24 RAG’, and ‘3 GOA’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent++, with excellent quiet grooves. Side two, track three plays with some light 'ticks' heard for about one minute, so I will grade the audio on track three as very good+, the rest of side two plays excellent++, with excellent quiet grooves. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full loud, clear period 'stereo' sound.

THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in MINT condition, it 'looks' unplayed. Side two is in near MINT condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
