BEATLES UK, Magical Mystery Tour UK EP, rare solid centre, original stereo.

SMMT-1, original UK first issue 1967 black and silver Parlophone labels.

An original UK first stereo issue, double EP from 1967, featuring:

1. very hard to find solid centre labels on record one,

2. to the rear, top right of the sleeve, a rare feature is an original period EMI stereo sticker. As more mono sleeves were printed than stereo sleeves, these rare solid centre records sets, mono sleeves were substituted !,

3. original UK first issue, ‘Sold in UK’ etc text on each of the record labels,

4. original UK first issue storey booklet,

5. original UK first issue blue lyric centre pages.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near MINT condition, the sleeve is laminated front and rear. A near perfect ‘blemish’ free sleeve with a near MINT laminate. The corners of the sleeve have remained near MINT and the opening edges of the sleeve have remained razor sharp. The spine is in near MINT condition with no wear or creases. The colours of the sleeve have remained rich and fresh and have not faded in anyway. The pages of the booklet are all in MINT, condition, crisp clean and crease free. The original 1967 UK first issue blue centre lyric pages are all present and are clean and crisp, with just some slight creasing to the centre page at the bottom. A remarkably well preserved ‘complete’ sleeve that has remained fresh, clean and white in colour, it even still smells new !. There are NO tears, splits, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are in near excellent condition and are the original 1967 plain white inner sleeves. One sleeve, the two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean for their age. Theres NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. The other sleeve also has two clean opening edges for its age, with NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is some slight age related marks here and there.

THE RECORDS: record one, side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in excellent++ condition. Record two, side three is in excellent condition and side four is in near excellent condition. The records have remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are:

Side 1 - 7YCE 18435-1, the mother / stampers are: ‘4 RA’,

Side 2 - 7YCE 18434-2 the mother / stampers are: ‘5 AM ’,

Side 3 - 7YCE 18436-1, the mother / stampers are: ‘12 LT’,

Side 4 - 7YCE 18437-1, the mother / stampers are: ‘4 PL’.

The letters ‘KT’ are engraved onto each of the ‘run-out’ grooves. As mentioned above record one features rare solid centres, record two, features ‘knock out’ centres.

THE AUDIO: record one, sides one and two, the audio is excellent+. Record two, side three and four, the audio is excellent, with just some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. Each record plays with a full powerful, period stereo sound.

THE LABELS: side one and two is in excellent++ condition. Sides three and four are in excellent+ condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed onto side one and four. As this is a first 1967 UK stereo issue all four labels feature the text, ‘The Gramophone’ etc, around the labels edge and each label features the text, ‘Sold in UK’ etc. Each label is free from any stickers or sticker residue. On side three there is some blue pen, but this doesn't notice much.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
