BEATLES UK - PLEASE PLEASE ME, Mono, with ‘Sold in UK’ etc text labels.
1963 PMC 1202 – BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABELS.
A UK LP in 100% original condition, featuring:
1. the labels have the text ‘ Sold in UK’ etc,
2. the labels do not have the usual letters found embossed around the spindle holes.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated and there is a small Mono logo to the top front right hand corner. The rear of the sleeve features the tri-flipback design. The spine is excellent and has remained white in colour, all the text on the spine is readable. The rear of the sleeve has remained a fresh white and is very clean for its age. There are NO tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue. There are a discreet set of initials written n black pen on the rear top right corner.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the correct period original EMI advertising sleeve, it is has remained very clean. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue. One of the side edge folds has started to split.
THE VINYL: is in excellent condition and looks as if it’s received very little play. It is made from the period, thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl is very clean, dark and very glossy.
The matrix nos. are: XEX 421 – 1N and XEX 422 – 2N it looks like a letter ‘N’ it is unclear as it has been heavily stamped over !,
The Mother/Stampers are: ‘ 1 5 R H L ’ and ‘ 5 R R ’.
THE AUDIO: is excellent, with little to spoil the listening pleasure. It lays flat on the turntable and does NOT stick or jump.
THE LABELS: are in excellent condition and as they are later labels from around 1965 the text ‘ Sold in UK ’ appears on the labels. Also the text ‘Recording first published’ is NOT on the labels. There are NO letters embossed around the spindle holes.
TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE.
