BEATLES UK – Please Please Me LP, Roman font, mono record labels.

PMC 1202 – original black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. unusual set of mono record labels, as the letter font, has been printed in the ‘New Times Roman’ font, letter style,

2. the record on side two features a later revised matrix of ‘2N’, these mono record usually have the ‘1N’ matrix,

3. the letter ‘N’ on the matrix on side two has been heavily ‘stamped’ over, see photo !,

4. the sleeve has a more unusual ‘small’ mono logo printed to the front, top right.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front is laminated. The spine is in very good condition and most of the text is readable. The rear of the sleeve has the period ‘tri flipback’ design. There are NO splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. Theres a set of initials written in blue pen on the rear, to the top right and some marks and indentations to the laminate on the front.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in good++ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. A good clean original sleeve for its age. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. There is a complete split to one side edge.   

THE RECORD: is in near very good condition. It has remained dark and glossy. The record is made from the original, 1960s period, thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix is: XEX  421 – 1N  and  XEX  422 – 2N, a later revised matrix, from the usual ‘1 N’ matrix, the letter ‘N’ has been heavily stamped over, see photo.

The mother / stampers are:  ’1 0  R R P’ and  ‘ 6  G D’.

THE AUDIO: is good++, it plays with relatively quiet grooves, but it does play with some ‘ticks’ and ‘pops’ heard here and there. It plays with a good, full loud period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in very good condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
