A UK album in original condition, featuring:
1. original very first UK issue on the black and gold Parlophone record labels with the harder to find, corrected ‘Northern songs’ variant,

3. there are the letters ‘MZT’ embossed around the spindle hole on side two of the record label.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in ‘fair’ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in near very good condition, the letter ‘B’ in the word ‘Beatles’ has been lost but the rest of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the original period 1960s tri-flipbacks. There is a faint name written in blue pen on the front, top edge and three names written on the rear in blue pen. There is a 10mm tear to the front, lower opening edge and a 50mm split to the top edge, where it meets the opening edges. Half of the rear lower, right flipback is missing. There is some old cellotape residue and a cellotape repair to the rear, lower flipback. To the rear, top right, there is a piece of the flipback missing. To the rear right, bottom flipback there is ‘water mark’. Theres NO stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in ‘fair’ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. There are a number of cellotape repairs to the inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE RECORD: side one is in good++ condition, it still retains its original dark, glossy finish. Side two is in ‘fair’ condition, it has lost most of its dark, glossy finish. The record is made from the original period, 1960s thick, heavy vinyl.
The matrix are: XEX 421 – 1N and XEX 422 – 1N,
The mother / stampers are: ‘ 2 G H ’ and - I am not able to make out what the mother/stampers are on side two.
THE AUDIO: side one is good++, it plays with some crackle and with some ‘pops’ and ‘ticks’ heard here and there, there is ‘hiss’ on tracks six and seven. Side two plays good+, it plays with some crackle and with some ‘pops’ and ‘ticks’ heard here and there, there was a brief ‘skip’ halfway through track three. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition, with excellent clear bold, gold print. Side two is in good++ condition with good clear bold, gold print. Each label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
