BEATLES UK – Rubber Soul and Abbey Road LP – rare label.

Rubber Soul – circa 1969 PCS 3075, One EMI box Stereo Parlophone labels.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near very good condition, the sleeve is laminated on the front. The spine is in very good condition and all the text is clear to read. To the rear the unlaminated sleeve has remained clean for its age. The rear features the original tri–flipback design. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some ‘moderate creasing’ to the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original red and white EMI period advertising sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE VINYL: side one is in very good+ condition, side two is in very good++ condition, it is dark and glossy. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. The Matrix is: 3 / 3, the record lies flat on the turntable.

THE AUDIO: I have not played the record so the audio is untested.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, the labels are free from any pen writing, stickers, or sticker residue.

Abbey Road - 1969 PCS 7088, Apple record labels.

A first press UK album in original condition featuring:

1. a rare variant of record label on side two suggesting that the printing plates were adjusted !, as the text ‘33 1/3 and PCS 7088’ is printed on the bottom line of the group of text, this text normally appears on the 2nd line of the text !

2. a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve,

3. the track ‘Her Majesty’ is NOT printed on the record label on side two nor is it printed on the rear of the sleeve, BUT the track  DOES play on the record !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in very good condition and all the text is clear to read. As this is a very first pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and later sleeves had the Apple logo aligned with the song listing !. Theres NO pen writing, stains, splits, tears stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. 

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is the original white EMI sleeve with a ‘ Patent No. 1,125,555’. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a split to the bottom edge and a 20mm tear one side and a 10mm tear one side to the top opening edge.

THE VINYL: side one is in good++ condition, side two is in good condition. It has remained dark and glossy. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. The Matrix is: 2 / 1, the record lies flat on the turntable.

THE AUDIO: I have not played the record so the audio is untested.

THE LABELS:  are in excellent condition and as this is a very first pressing it shows a DARK Green Apple colour on side one.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
