BEATLES UK, White Album, rare ReVOLUTION label mis press, UK original numbered stereo sleeve.

PCS 7067/7068 - original UK first issue 1968 Apple record labels.

A UK first issue, top loading stereo copy with a unique serial number of ‘No. 0481846, featuring:

1. record label four has a rare mis print, as the track title reads, ‘ReVOLUTION 9’, ie it has been mis printed with a small ‘e’. This was soon spotted at EMI and the error was soon corrected, so only a very small number of these mis pressed labels were ever printed,

2. side one of the record label has an unusual ‘tax code’ of ‘KJT’ embossed. Suggesting a very early set of stereo records/labels as the UK tax code system was discontinued in January 1969. It is unusual enough to find ‘tax codes’ on these first issue record labels but to find a ‘KTJ’ is very unusual, the letter ‘J’ is thought to be a ‘final amendment’ to the ‘coding’. It is even more unusual to find a ‘KJT’ code on stereo record labels,

3. record labels one and two have the printed text, ‘An EMI Recording’, but on labels three and four, this text is not printed !,

4. as this is a first UK issue, each of the record labels has the text, ‘Sold in UK’, etc.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, the double album ‘gate fold’ sleeve is fully laminated. This laminate has remained very fresh, clean and glossy. On the front the sleeve has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL number of, No. 0481846, this number appears clear and bold. On the rear there is the word ‘Stereo’ printed, proving this to be a genuine STEREO sleeve. The spine is in excellent condition and has remained a clean fresh white in colour, it has some of the usual ‘flaky’ laminate and all the text on the spine is readable. The four opening edges of the sleeve have remained very clean and sharp. As this is a very first UK issue, the sleeve features two visible ‘flip backs’ when the sleeve is opened, these ‘flip backs’ are all excellent and well stuck down. When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy, clean and tidy. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. The rear of the sleeve has a slight ‘mark’ in the middle.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are the two original ‘Apple’ black inner sleeves and have not been replaced. One is in near excellent condition, with no splits, tears, it just has a few small ‘nicks’ to the rear opening edge. The other inner sleeve, again is in near excellent condition, with no splits. It has a few small ‘nicks’ to the rear opening edge and just a small tear, 5mm around the ‘die cut hole’. Each sleeve is free from any repairs, sellotape, stickers or sticker residue.

THE POSTER: the original poster is in very good+ condition. It has some wear to the centre folds and to the folds at the edges. There are no tears, pen writing, sellotape/residue, pin holes, blue tack residue, stickers or sticker residue on the poster. The poster has some age related marks here and there.

THE PHOTOS: the original four photos are in excellent+ condition and are made from the original thick card. Theres no pen writing, creases, pin hole damage, sellotape residue, blue tack residue, stickers or sticker residue to the photos. The rear of the photo of George has some age related marks.

THE RECORDS: sides one, two and three are in excellent condition, side four is in near excellent condition. The records are made of the original 1960s ‘thick and heavy’ vinyl. The records have remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 709 – 1, YEX 710 - 1, YEX 711 - 1 and YEX 712 - 1.

The mother/stampers are: ‘1 G G P ’, ‘ 1 O O ’, ‘ 1 G M ’ and ‘2 G A’.

THE LABELS: each of the labels are in excellent condition. As this is a very first UK issue, two of the labels feature the original UK dark green ‘Apple’ colour. Each label shows the text, ‘Sold in UK’ etc, the George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
