BEATLES UK, With the Beatles, RARE E J Day stereo sleeve, 1963 UK LP.

1963 PCS 3045, Black and Yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK Stereo copy in original condition with a very hard to find 'stereo' sleeve, made by ‘E J Day’.

It is hard enough to find an early UK Stereo copy, but near impossible to find a copy with a rare stereo sleeve made by, 'E J Day'.

By late 1963 most Beatle album sleeves were being made by the company of ‘Garrod and Lofthouse’, the company of ‘E J Day’ helped out to met the demand for this LP, but her output was quite small. So while it is not that uncommon to find a mono ‘With the Beatles’, ‘E J Day’ sleeve, it is extremely hard to find a stereo ‘With the Beatles’, ‘E J Day’ sleeve.

1. a super hard to find stereo sleeve made by, 'E J Day',

2. each of the record labels feature an unusual 'textured / tactile surface, as usually the records label are completely smooth with a 'satin' finish to them,

3. a more unusual record label on side two as track seven features the, 'Dominion / Belinda, publishing credit, as most of these stereo record labels feature the, 'Jobete' publishing credit,

4. comes with its original, 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. There are no 'thumb' creases to the front, right hand side of the sleeve. The spine is in excellent condition and has remained clean white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained super clean and sharp. The rear of the sleeve features the original UK tri 'flipback' design, ie, fold over edges. Unusual for an ‘E J Day’ sleeve, the thinner, 'paper' 'flip backs' are all excellent and still solid, complete and well stuck down. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has remained very clean and white in colour for its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. A very clean and complete, original example of such a RARE sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. On one side there are some slight signs of ageing.

THE RECORD: each side of the record is in excellent++ condition. The record is made from the original 1960s period, 'thick, heavy' vinyl. Each of the playing surfaces have remained very dark and glossy.

The records engraved 'matrix' are: YEX 110 - 2 and YEX 111 – 2,

The records engraved 'mother/stampers' are: ‘2 RH’ and ‘2 RP’,

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a loud period 'stereo' sound.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, sticker residue or stickers.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
