BEATLES UK, With the Beatles and Revolver, original 1963/66 UK mono LPs.

With the Beatles, original UK mis pressed dark and grainy sleeve, 1963 UK LP.

PMC 1206, original UK 1963 yellow and black Parlophone record labels.

A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. a first issue mis pressed ‘dark and grainy’ image sleeve. The first issue sleeves were mis pressed as the front image appeared very dark and grainy, EMI were quick to change the sleeves to show a much ‘lighter and clearer’ image,

2. this particular sleeve is more unusual as rather than showing a black background, a ‘silhouette’ can be seen of the heads of the Beatles,

3. as this is such an early sleeve it features the early mis press of, ‘gotta’ for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’, again this was soon corrected to read, ‘Got a’,

4. the more unusual letters of ‘MTK’ are embossed around spindle hole on the record label on side one,

5. comes with its original, ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very condition, the sleeve is laminated on the front. The spine is in very good condition and most of the text on the spine is readable. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s period, ‘tri flip back’, ie fold over edges. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a 10mm ‘nick’ to the front / middle, lower opening edge and some age related marks to the rear.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original EMI period, ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a slight split to one of the side edges.

THE RECORD: side one is in near excellent condition. Side two is in excellent condition. The record is made of the original period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 447 – 7N and XEX 448 – 7N,

The mother / stampers are: side one, ‘14 MP’, and side two is, ‘4 OP’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent++, it plays with excellent quiet grooves. Side two also plays excellent++, but I did hear a single ‘tick / pop’ at the end of track two, otherwise side two plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in near excellent condition. The letters ‘MTK’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. Each record labels is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. corrected 2/2 mono matrix,

2. ‘corrected’ record label on side two, as it features the spelling of ‘Dr’, for the track, ‘Dr Robert’,

3. comes with its original, ‘Patents applied for’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good condition and all of the text on the spine is readable. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s, ‘tri ‘flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a small ‘nick’ to the front centre, lower opening edge and on the rear of the sleeve there is some signs of ageing and some ‘scuffing’.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is the original ‘Patents applied for’ inner sleeve. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a slight split to one of the side edges and a ‘water mark’ to the front top, left corner and to the rear top, left corner.

THE RECORD: each side of the record is in very good condition. The record is made of the period 1960s, ‘thick heavy’ vinyl.

The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 2,

The mother / stampers are: ‘8 LP’ and ‘2 MT’,

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays very good+, each side plays with some ‘crackle’ and some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in very good+ condition, side two is in very good++ condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
