BEATLES UK, With the Beatles rare PYE pressing, original 1963 UK LP.

PMC 1206, original UK 1963 mono black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A hard to find original UK ‘PYE pressing’ in original condition, featuring:

1. in the UK, due to the high demand of this album back in late 1963, EMI could not cope with this demand so they ‘contracted out’ to other record companies to assist with its production. PYE was one such company, although not many of these PYE copies were pressed, now making them very difficult to find,

2. the mother/stampers are different to regular EMI /Parlophone copies and unique to these PYE pressings, as side one is: ‘312 P A’ and side two is: ‘QA2 11 A’. Also on side two there is a tiny number five, ‘hand etched’, seen just below the ‘mothers’,

3. the outer edge of the record is quite noticeably different and again unique to these PYE pressings, as it has a more ‘tapered’ edge to it,

4. the record label on each side is ‘raised’ slightly, again unique to these PYE pressings. The outer ‘raised’ label edge can be ‘felt’, where as regular EMI / Parlophone copies are completely flat at the labels edge,

5. there are NO tax codes embossed to either label,

6. comes with its original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminate. The spine is in very good++ condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges of have remained sharp for their age. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s period, ‘tri flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained very clean. An excellent clean, white well preserved inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There is a 5mm tear to one side of the ‘die cut’ hole.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good++ condition. Side two is in very good+ condition. The record has remained dark and glossy. The record is made from the original 1960s, quality thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix are: XEX 447 – 7N and XEX 448 – 7N,

The mother / stampers are: unique to this PYE pressing, side one: ‘312 P A’ and side two: ‘QA2 11 A’, on side two there is also a tiny number five, ‘hand etched’ just below the ‘mothers’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent with just some light ‘crackle’ heard here and there. Side two plays near excellent with just some light ‘ticks’ and some light ‘crackle’ heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud powerful period mono sound.

THE LABELS: each record label is in excellent+ condition. There are NO letters (tax code) embossed around the spindle holes. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
