Mega RARE SLEEVE + NM VINYL OF VJ/Oldies 45

This is one of a few other really rare Beatles 45's being listed.  An almost identical copy of this same sleeve is being listed now as well.  This one has the 45 Twist and Shout/There's A Place on VJ's sister label Oldies. The other holiday sleeve listing will feature From Me to You/Please Please Me on VJ.   The vinyl on this copy is incredibly clean and shiny.  Minimal play appears to be the case. As far as the history of this rare PS, in October of 1964 the execs at VEE JAY prepared a special picture sleeve for the holiday season, pairing it with one of the four Beatles singles originally issued in early 1964.  The Christmas sleeve was created to encourage distributors to place large orders of Beatles singles prior to VJ losing its rights to sell Beatles products in the future.  Other sources say this sleeve was available to Beatles Fan Club members but that can't be confirmed.

This 45 + the Picture Sleeve are in very nice condition as can been seen from the photos.  The vinyl is exceptionally shiny and clean.  There might be minor scuffing and scratching but appears to have very little actual play.  Note also that the original owner left a catalog sticker on one side and price on the other.  Note the P/S has some minor wear but the paper is intact and appears to be in nice condition.  No tears or writing is seen. Note some age discoloration and/or staining but it is minor for sure.  This record is from a one-owner smoke free home from someone who took very good care of records.  We are listing separately these 2 excellent copies of the very rare Beatles Christmas sleeve plus a mega rare Beatles VJ Promo EP.  Watch for those shortly.
