'PAUL IS DEAD' COVER
Original Hamburg studio recordings from 1961 with Tony SheridanThis is the album that kick started the 'Paul is dead' rumors, released only in Canada in 1969 on Polydor Records (242-008). Note on the cover that one of the four candles is snuffed out. This is to represent Paul's supposed death. As a result, this LP has gained great historical importance and has become very collectible.
The liner notes on the back cover are by George Harrison. One of the rarest LPs in the Beatles' catalog, this LP features the classic 1961 Hamburg recordings with Tony Sheridan (their very first professional recordings). This LP features the only Beatles song ever written by John & George ('Cry For A Shadow'). Check your price guides on this one, mint copies are going for upwards of $100.
COVER CONDITION: The cover is in fantastic shape with some wear as you can see for yourself from the photos. Includes the typo on 'Cry for A Shadow'. I rate it 9 out of 10.
