Description

An excellent condition shrink wrap copy with the price sticker still on the shrink but the price has been taken off so it may have been given as a gift. What a present.  This is the version with “See Label For Correct Playing Order” on the back cover and I believe that indicates that this is a first pressing.  The shrink has several tears that may not be visible in the photos but is pretty much intact.

VINYL: VG++ I am reluctant to use the "NM" word but this record is about as close as it comes.  Even the opening of "Eight Days A Week" plays clean and that's the quietest musical spot on the album.  The pauses between the songs have almost no "crackle" which indicates the record was always played through on a very good turntable.  I don't have to describe the virtues of the fidelity of a first press mono LP versus any other format.  Suffice to say you will be blown away by the depth and richness of the sound. Listen to the end of "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party" when Ringo's drums come up in the mix - then listen to the same spot on a CD to hear the difference in sound quality.

COVER:  VG++ Some scuffing at the bottom of the front cover most likely caused by shelf wear.  The spine looks like new - great bright white spine.  As noted, the shrink is a bit "floppy" around the mouth corners and as commonly occurs from taking the record out of the jacket, the shrink is not tight around the jacket mouth opening but it is all there.

INNER SLEEVE: The Capitol inner sleeve corresponds to first press since there are no LP's with a higher number.  It is in like new condition.

LABELS:  No writing or scratches – the spindle hole is clean – if there are any tiny tears I can’t see them.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - READ BEFORE YOU BID:  Please note that this record is being sold as-is with no claims of condition for the LP or the jacket.  Every stereo is a little different and I am not a professional grader.  I've done my best to use grades collectors can relate to, but my grade of VG++ is only to be taken as a guide, not a statement of fact.  Photos can often be deceiving so I tried to give more than one view of the important ones, like the cover.  I hope that between the photos and my description you can get an idea of the condition but again, it is being sold as-is with no returns so please bid with that in mind. With all that said, I would be greatly surprised if you were not satisfied that I had accurately described this item.
