ARTIST:    The BEATLES

PRESSED IN:       JAPAN    .
RELEASE DATE:  15 JAN.1966   .

ORIGINLA FIRST PRESSING?:  Yes, it is...absolutely! On black vinyl...the red vinyl edition was released in Feb. 1966.

This still has the original green and white Toshiba Records company inner-sleeve.   .

CONDITION: (cover/record):  (EX- / VG+) 

The following specifics are what define this as a first pressing:

1. Has the words "MFD. BY TOSHIBA MUSICAL INDUSTRIES LTD. IN JAPAN" printed at the top on the perimeter of the label.

2. Has the Odeon logo, plus "Toshiba Musical Industries Ltd.", plus the symbol "G" in a circle, and the price, as "¥370" - all printed at bottom left on the front of the lyric sheet/picture 'sleeve'.

3. The title on the lyric sheet, at top left, is mis-spelled as "WE CAN WORKE IT OUT", and the extra 'E' they've tried to delete, but you can still just make it out.

4. The listing of other "Odeon Hit Records" was printed on the back of the lyric sheet, starting from the 7" with the catalogue number OR-1173, and ending with OR-1212. (The pressing on red vinyl, even though it came only a month later, started with OR-1220 and ended with OR-1438. I've included a picture of the top part of BOTH these, so you can compare. Note that they added the "¥370" price there at the top as well, on the red vinyl 45's sleeve.) 

The main difference between them is #4, above.
