Description

This is the Very Limited, Low Number, Original 1968 FIRST pressing MONO only released in the UK. MONO editions are the way the albums were originally mixed by the Beatles and George Martin. This was the last album mixed in MONO by the Beatles, and due to the many differences, is said to be “the album that every fan should own both versions of.” MONO editions of the White Album are extremely rare, and have many fun and noticeable differences from their Stereo counterparts. The US did not receive any MONO editions, and only FIRST Pressings from the UK had this unique TOP LOADING sleeve.

I am not a dealer. I am just a big Beatles fan and a fan of great Vinyl. When I upgrade something in my personal collection, I sell my previous pieces for what I paid for them. I use JPGR.co.uk for all my UK pressing information. Please feel free to reference http://www.jpgr.co.uk/pcs7067.html to cross check information on Matrix Numbers, Pressing information, and Mono/Stereo differences.

GRADING:

Sealed: Record and cover has never been touched. Mint Condition.

Near Mint: Vinyl may show a minor cosmetic sign of use, or two. Each track will play through perfectly. Cover will only show the faintest signs of use, there will be no writing, tape, noticeable wear, corner wear, etc.

Excellent: Vinyl may show signs of use, but only light surface marks. Record will play near perfect, with only an occasional faint or crackle during softer passages. Cover may have a minor seam split, some wear, some very light ring wear, but not all the above.

Very Good +: Has some marks, scuffs and light scratches on the vinyl. Will play through without any skipping or major constant "ticks". Fidelity and Dynamics are still good, but maybe some light background noise between songs. Some shine to the vinyl still. Cover has ring wear and bruised corners, but overall front and back are in good shape.

Very Good: Well-worn record, has scratches, "ticks" and surface noise, but will play all the way through. Cover may have ring wear, corner wear, shelf wear, seam splits, or writing. A VG cover will have two or more defects described above, but will overall still be a nice piece.

GOOD: Lots of wear to the record, skips and scratches are certain. Deeper scuffs are present. A record that has seen better days! Record still plays, but gone is the fidelity and dynamics that make vinyl magical. Cover has ring wear, seam splits, and writing sometimes. Not a cover you would want to frame. Only to be bought to sustain a need until a better example is found.

FAIR: Almost ready for the trash, but has some redeeming quality that allows it to be sold here.
