Description
Original 1968 UK stereo *top loading* pressing numbered 0464708 with a 7.5 - 8 mm wide spine mentioning both mono & stereo release numbers and a small "stereo" annotation in the upper right of the back. The website applerecords dot nl lists this as a first pressing cover for the stereo version.
The cover is in very good condition with a few laminate creases from record removal & insertion and moderate corner and top opening wear, with the front & top right seam having come apart for a length of 2,5 cm. The inner gatefold is in beautiful EX- condition. Overall rating: VG+
Only sides 1 & 2 state "An EMI Recording", sides 3 & 4 do not, as shown.

Visually, the discs grade EX-, there are only superficial marks that cannot be heard and they have survived the last 49 years in remarkably good shape. I have play-tested the records using a Nagaoka MP-150 cartridge and the Schiit Mani phono pre-amp. I mention the amp, as it has a tendency to not just bring out the music beautifully but also any unwanted sounds of wear that may be present on a used record, your equipment may be more forgiving. Excluding the lead in groove on each disc, the amount of background noise is low to medium during quieter passages and I am comfortable giving this an overall rating of VG+ as well.
While not a M- copy (for which you would have to spend hundreds these days), this is a very enjoyable used copy that you will treasure for a long time to come.
The original black inner sleeves are still present (I have re-housed the discs in fresh white ones). There is also a poster and the four head shots, however these were substituted from a later reissue.
I will pay part of the postage to keep it reasonable and package the item well.
