1963 UK 1st Mono Pressing LP
This rare UK 1963 1st Mono pressing variant is in the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1206
The side 2 label bears TWO early errors:
The track 2 title is misspelled as "You Really GOTTA Hold On Me" instead of "You Really GOT A Hold On Me". The publishing credit for the song "Money" is "Jobete Mus. NOB".The labels carry the 1st pressing signs such as "Sold in UK" statement but with "Parlophone Co. Ltd.." rims
An 'MT' tax/price code is visible around the centre hole of the side 2 label.
Cover is a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed, Mono logo cover.
Complete with the'Use Emitex' poly-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 447-1N & XEX 448-1N Stamper code: 1/L & 5/RP
CONDITION
Disc: Good
Labels have spindle wear and some scratches. Record has visible scratches on both sides.
Cover: Very Good ++
A very good copy of this early mono cover. The front panel is clean and glossy with a bold and bright image with just slight ring wear and creases to the laminate. The back is clean with slight browning to the edges and the slight remains of an erased name on the upper left corner. All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are fully intact and undamaged.
Inner Sleeve: Very Good
Clean with wear at the opening.
