At the hysterical high in 'Beatlemania' in Britain, the 'Fab Gear' BeaTles were in a whirlwind of media attention! All over radio, TV, and newspapers, the public wanted to get any news, a merest glimpse of their lives.
The singles burst into the charts, and their long hair, exciting vocals, what they wore, ate, listened to, liked, dated, talked to, and thought were on everyone's mind!
Americans didn't get the news because of a prejudiced, clueless A&R man at Capitol Records who didn't know the phenomenon he had! They were the best band of the times, and the music doesn't diminish with age.
This LP is special, the follow-up to their debut Please Please Me.
At the time MONO was the best sounding medium of all their early releases.
It is notably rare for being the initial FIRST pressed copy with the "JOBETE" error publishing credit for 'Money', as well as the "Really GOTTA Hold" song title on both the lable and the cover.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VG++"overall, there are some lines visible, not deep. The disc plays with some 'muffled' areas. This is because the surface has been treated with either one of those vinyl sprays that clogged the grooves, or some wax!
I did remove some of this 'treatment' but some still remains and needs a little more attention.
It has been coming out of the grooves when played too.
Then it's not for the 'Mint' collector, sold as is, priced accordingly.
Yellow on Black PARLOPHONE Lables are VG+, no stains, stickers or pen.
Correct "M T" tax code letters on side 2 centre.
Some spindle lines.
The LAMINATED FLIPBACK Garrod & Lofthouse "Patents Pending" COVER is VG+ to ++
Dark shade photo and the "GOTTA" error on the rear.
VERY clean and bright with slight wear - a small damage on the top seam above "with"
All text clear and no pen or stickers.
