Description
Original 1965 Capitol Records 5555 "We Can Work It Out" b/w "Day Tripper" 45 rpm single with the original rarer WEST COAST (tab top) picture sleeve. Finding this sleeve in an acceptable collectible shape is very difficult... this copy is very, very nice. The east coast (straight cut top) is much more common.
I accurately grade my records using a bright light so that the buyer knows exactly what they are receiving before they bid.
This copy is visually graded at EX [aka VG++] (record) and VG+ (sleeve) using the Cox/Daniels "Price Guide For The Beatles American Records" grading standards (6th edition). These grading standards tend to be more stringent than Goldmine. See my photos. Spizer version CAP 5555.02A (record) and 5555.PS1B (sleeve). Awesome addition to any Beatles collection. "We Can Work It Out" gets top billing on both sides of the sleeve and both song times are listed.
The west coast "tab cut" sleeve has no writing, no tears, no seam splits, no stains, and no mold. A small amount of wear near the top of one of the corners on one side and along one edge. An original "Montgomery Ward" $0.88 price sticker is on one side. The photo used for the sleeve was taken at the same photo session that produced the photos for the UK (EMI/Parlaphone's) "Beatles For Sale" LP front/rear cover photos (fall 1964) and the front cover of Capitol's "The Early Beatles" LP (spring 1965).
