THE BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM
An overall nice condition and rare very low numbered and very 1st UK pressing of this Beatles classic, with overall impressive MONO sound quality
Year/Label : 1968 UK APPLE Label number : PMC 7067 (disc 1) & PMC 7068 (disc 2) Matrix numbers : XEX 709 - 1, XEX 710 - 1, XEX 711 - 1, XEX 712 -1 Stampers : 1 RR / 2G RM / 5 GDG / 1GVery good (VG) condition vinyls - completely flat and weighty vinyls with a number of hairlines and light surface scuffs on each, 99% non-feelable and appearing to be surface only though there are two very small hairlines on "I Will" which are just feelable and do cause some light rotational clicking during most of this track. Each vinyl has been well played (though lots of life left in each vinyl, that's for sure) and some of the scuffs are noticeable in normal daylight. Nothing nasty, just quite a few scuff lines and hairlines on each. Excellent condition labels with a number of light spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each, all black text upon the dark green Apple background remaining perfectly intact, and the omission of the "An EMI Recording" text on each label - a true indicator of a very 1st pressing. Very good plus (VG+) condition original Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated and top loading outer gatefold sleeve with embossed "The BEATLES" text on the front side and the lowly numbered "No. 0031636". There is the occasional very light handling/storage mark on the outside of the gatefold including some slightly more noticeable (but still minor) vertical marks adjacent to the front-side right edge, but all edges remain firm with barely any scuffing though there is some light fraying on the top edges. The spine remains rigid with all spine text nicely intact (though some of the laminate is perishing), each corner remains a nicely defined right angle with minimal rubbing, and the internal vertical side flipbacks remain in great condition. In fact the condition of the interior of the gatefold is excellent, making it hard to believe that this gatefold is now 56 years of age! The four photos remain in great condition with no creasing or tears, and the spacer is present though I am unconvinced that this is an original. The poster is in very good plus condition with just a few very small and non-obvious age and handling marks, and the folds are nicely intact with just a 2cm seam split and x1 1cm split at the extremity of two of the folds. Overall a solid very good (VG) MONO audio quality with no repeats, sticks, or distortion and background crackle is only occasional and light. There is a non-obvious skip at the very beginning of Revolution 9, some light clicking during part of Bungalow Bill, some light clicking during most of I Will, a little background crackle at the beginning of Mother Nature's Son, x5 light clicks at the beginning of Sexy Sadie, and a few light clicks during part of Revolution 9. Nothing dramatic or nasty but not perfection either, and certainly the overall audio quality is a solid very good with each record still making for a great listen. Timeless in fact. Comes with original black inner sleeves which have tears, edge fraying, and seam splits...I will of course still include them but as a matter of course I always ship the records in new plain white poly-lined inner sleeves in order to protect the originals anyway! Nice condition overall, highly presentable still with all components, and an impressive (but not perfect) listen, but what you're really getting here is a very low numbered, very first UK pressing of one of the greatest LP's ever recorde - and therein lies the value of this record!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
