I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Fair / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
THE BEATLES.
THE WHITE ALBUM.
ORIGINAL UK APPLE MONO LP PMC 6067, PMC 6068.
This is not a perfect example and more of a starter copy. Both discs still play okay, but please do not purchase this if you are a fussy buyer. Please see below for all details.
The Cover / G+ (Good+) condition. This is a top opening cover with Number 0409531. The number is now faded but still readable up close. The spine has suffered scuffing but is not split. Overall the cover is still very presentable with no over serious issues but it does show its age. The bottom has a scuff and the cover has some creases.
The Records / G+ (Good+) condition. The records have a fair amount of surface wear and light marks. The records do not have any real deep marks that stop play but as both discs I have graded a strict G+ condition, they are far from perfect. I have played all four sides and they play better than the G+ visual grade. I will grade the play grade as around VG - Some tracks better than others. As stated above, not for a fussy buyer.
Matrix Numbers: XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1, XEX 712-1
Labels / G+ (Good+) condition. All four labels have no writing. The labels have suffered some bubbling, maybe because somebody has washed the discs incorrectly? I will grade the labels as G+ condition to be on the safe side. Disc 1 does not have the EMI recording text. Disc 2 has the EMI recording text. I label has a couple of small surfcae scuffs.
The Inner / Poor condition. Both black original covers are very worn and tatty and can only be graded as poor condition. At least they are still present. The discs are now housed in new paper inner covers.
Poster / VG- condition. Original poster is in VG- condition with some age wear. Not a bad example, not perfect.
Photos / VG condition. The four photos are from the seventies and these are not original to the set. They are thinner than the original 60s issues.
Please read all above carefully, as stated this is more a starter copy but this does play okay if you are not a fussy buyer.
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
