Description
On offer here is a UK original 1963 mono 2nd pressing of the With The Beatles LP by THE BEATLES on the yellow & black Parlophone label without the ‘Sold In UK’ text. This copy comes in a laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve with the large Mono logo on the front. The matrix numbers are Side 1 – XEX 447 - 5N, Side 2 – XEX 448 – 5N. Catalogue number is PMC 1206. Mothers & stampers are: Side 1 – 1MR & Side 2 – 4AH.
Visually the record looks very nice and grades VG+, there are a few hairline marks & light scuffs etc but none are feelable or heavy scratches. It plays through well and sounds great with no sticks, jumps and no noticeable background noise and is 100% flat with no warps. The labels have no tears but there is some spindle wear evident, and a name written on side 1 see photo.
The original flipback laminated EJ Day cover is also very strictly graded in VG+ condition with some minor corner wear & creasing. It is in overall great shape with no tears or splits and a fully legible spine but unfortunately has some writing on the rear plus evidence of sticker removal - see scan. Comes with original Emitex inner sleeve in EX condition with no tears or writing etc.
