THE BEATLES 'YESTERDAY AND TODAY' LP CAPITOL RECORDS MONO T-2553 2nd state BUTCHER COVER! * * * 2nd state UNPEELED butcher cover! Wow! Because of the controversial nature, and rich history behind this cover, this is one of the most sought after piece of beatles paraphanalia ever! RIAA stamp has a "6" next to it. Because of the fake baby carnage on the original photo, the record was immediately recalled and pasted over with a more tame cover of the boys hanging out in and around some luggage! Matrix # is T-2-2553-F-19. For more info on this amazing piece of rock and roll history, click here. * * * VINYL:VG (+) (Many visible surface scuffs on this record - mostly superficial. Plays well with superb fidelity and no nasty skips and light surface noise.) LABELS:VG++ (Some light wear on these RAINBOW capitol labels does not significantly affect general appearance.) COVER:VG- (Seam 100% split at spine + along bottom. Ring wear and some discoloration present on both sides. Someone has attempted to peel the cover off, so a small portion of the bottom left hand corner is torn. Some discoloration on John's face and next to Georgie's head.
