Description

                                           THE BEATLES

                              "SGT PEPPERS..."

                                      (PMC 7027)

Dead wax info is as follows:

Side 1 : XEX 637-1 (6-RAH)

Side 2 : XEX 638-1 (5-RGM)

This is the rare first press uk mono issue in fantastic near mint condition, one of the best sounding copies as it plays mint with a quiet run on and is even very quiet between tracks!!

The Garrod & lofthouse laminated gatefold cover is very clean and grades virtually Mint, with No tears, stickers, writing or ring wear. There is no laminate lifting/crinkling and no half moon creases. The corners have no rubbing and are square.the inside of the cover is clean and still "cracks" when opened to show its hardly be opened. The seams and spine are terrific with no splits or damage

A FANTASTIC COPY

The original red/white inner sleeve has no splits or tears

The cut-outs are perfect

The black/yellow labels which have "The gramophone co" and "sold in uk" text and is kt stamped are perfect with no spindle hole damage or wear and no spindle marks..fantastic!!!

The record lies flat with no warp and has full gloss and shine with no groove wear or scratches. When you first look at it,it looks MINT/UNPLAYED but under a very strong light you can see just a few of the lightest paper scuffs probably caused by removing the record from the inner sleeve, grades Mint-.From the quiet run on all the tracks play fantastic with no sound distortion and no lessening in the mono sound quality. The tracks sound MINT with no loud crackles, clicks or pops and it does not stick or jump, and is very quiet even between tracks
