Description
The demand for Beatle product has always far outstripped the release of the stuff. The Anthology, grudgingly released twenty five years after the band broke up, made the Fab Four by far the best selling musical artist of 1995. The fellows always had mixed feelings about releasing "unfinished" or what they considered inferior work, but the fact is, everything they did was superior in most listeners opinions, hence the difference between releases and demand. In the 1970s a slew of "unofficial" vinyl hit the market all at once. I spent a whole lot of my paper route money on these records. This one is higher quality audio wise than many of them but still not great compared to modern digital versions. I listened to this one more than any of the others I bought because it did sound so much better than the others. Revealing how unauthorized this stuff is, the title track is NOT the Beatles. It's a group from the time trying to sound like the Beatles in a free form jam and it got put on this record anyway. It's a perfect relic of the 1970s black market.
The track listing, as best as I could make out at the time... Side One- Have You Heard The Word, You Really Got a Hold On Me, Long & Winding Road/Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Besame Mucho, Yellow Submarine, I Me Mine Side Two- Harrison track, Twist & Shout, Roll Over Beethoven, Long Tall Sally, Dizzie Miss Lizzie, Lucille
