Hello & welcome to my site, although this is one of my FIRST LISTINGS on eBay I’ve been a member since June 2006 and have a 100% FEEDBACK SCORE for buying!

I have a very large Personal Record collection which I’ve collected for well over 45 years and have been Involved with Vinyl Records with work as well, I worked for Kelly records and downtown records in Brentwood Essex back in the 70’s where I picked up a lot of RARE albums. I also worked at DECCA for sometime and again managed to get my hands on some beauties. I will be putting up for Auction lots of rare albums & some not so rare on eBay in the coming years-----In all sorts of condition-------but nothing which is unplayable. Some of the albums which I will be listing are Pink Floyd-DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (BLUE TRIANGLE), Pretty Things- SF SORROW, Lots of Rolling Stones & Beatles, Ten Years After, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull and many--many more.

Please read before you bid I do not grade my records but give an accurate descriptions of condition, I find grading a bit misleading (some peoples excellent are actually very good etc).

 

Abbey Road is the eleventh official U.K. album and seventeenth U.S. album released by The Beatle.

Though work on Abbey Road began in April 1969, making it the final album recorded by the band, Let It Be was the last album released before the Beatles' dissolution in 1970. Abbey Road was released on 26 September 1969 in the United Kingdon, and 1 October 1969 in the United States. It was produced and orchestrated by George Martin for Apple Records. Geoff Emerick was engineer, Alan Parson was assistant engineer, and Tony Banks was tape operator. It is regarded as one of The Beatles' most tightly constructed albums, although the band was barely operating as a functioning unit at the time.  Rolling Stones  magazine named it the 14th greatest album of all time.

After the near-disastrous sessions for the proposed Get Back album (later retitled Let It be)

Paul McCartney suggested to George Martin the group get together and make an album "the way we used to" free of the conflict that began with the sessions for The White Album. Martin agreed, stipulating that he must be allowed to do the album his way. In their interviews for the Beatles Anthology series the surviving band members stated they knew at the time this would very likely be the final Beatles' product and therefore agreed to set aside their differences and 'go out on a high note'.

With the Let It Be album partly finished, the sessions for Abbey Road began in April, as the "Ballad of John and Yoko

"/"Old Brown Shoe" single was completed. Most of the album was recorded between 2 July and 1 August 1969. After the album was finished and released, the Get Back/Let it be project was re-examined. More work was done on the album, including the recording of additional music. Thus, though the bulk of Let It Be was recorded prior to Abbey Road, the latter was released first, and Abbey Road properly was the last album started by The Beatles before they disbanded. In September 1969, just shortly before the release of the album, John Lennon was on hiatus from the group with the Plastic Ono Band.

• "Her Majesty" appears as a hidden track. Between "The End" and "Her Majesty" is 14 seconds of silence.
• One cassette tape version in the US had "Come Together" and "Here Comes the Sun" swapped so that Harrison's composition opens the album. All subsequent versions (including the CD) have restored the track listing to its original order.
• Tracks 9 through 16 are sometimes noted as one song (medley) called "The Abbey Road Medley".
• Tracks 14 through 16 are sometimes noted as one song called "The Golden Slumbers Medley".

The Album I have listed today is from my personal collection and as been well looked after. This is in SUPERB! Condition, this really is a superb piece of vinyl that plays absolutely fantastic through out and is so hard to find in this condition. You’ll find it hard to get another one is this condition-----AWESOME! There is no scratches or sticking, Jumps, clicks, pops or any distortion that I could detect and I play tested album on two top quality decks and also using headphones to get a more accurate and better idea how vinyl sounds. Over all Vinyl retains a shiny gloss and lays flat on turntable with no warping and plays well through out, and in my opinion still as a superb sound! Audio still comes through loud and clear.

If I can fault this LP at all there is some static noise in-between some tracks and maybe the odd static tic, but please remember this vinyl as hardly been played and as been stored for a long time. There is a couple of paper marks on side two but no scratches and no clicks or pops. Remember you won’t find a copy in this condition A NICE COPY!

Labels are clean & bright with no spider marks, no spindle ware. Cover is also beautiful condition with just a little bit of storage mark on the back, and the spine is strong thick and solid, and for 40 years old not bad considering its age, Inner sleeve is still intact.
