Nowhere Man Records – Proudly Presents

The Beatles

~

I am honored and excited to have been commissioned to bring you the rare chance to own a Beatles package comprising of original promotional press pictures including a genuine fully signed picture and a stunning early 1st pressing black / gold Please Please Me.

This package was bought at auction from the world famous Sotheby’s on August 25th 1988 and now it is up for auction in what has to be one of the finest Beatles EBay auctions for some years.

~

Items included in the auction –

The Beatles

-       A Set of early Press promotional pictures

-       A Signed by all four Press picture

-       A stunning 1963 1st press black / gold Please Please Me

Fully signed promo picture -

To start with I will describe the signed picture. The picture is a very early example with all four in the classic early Beatles fitted suits with the ‘mop top’ hair styles and young fresh faces Probably circa 1963. The signatures are a little faint but they can easily and clearly be read. The picture has a dedication inscribed at the top which reads ‘To Ross, relation in New Zealand, Best wishes’

All four signatures are genuine and by the hand of The Beatles which is backed by the fact that they were bought from world renowned Sotheby’s on the 25th August 1988.

Promotional pictures –

There are three promo pictures other than the signed example and they comprise of a group shot plus one each of John and George. As with the signed picture these are probably circa 1962/3 as they are in the very early Beatles style, I personally cannot find any documentation or any other examples of these so if anyone has any information please get in touch as I would love to hear any background details on these.

EX++ condition

This is a superb, stunning example of a true first pressing with extremely early stampers. The Labels are as good as you will ever see with virtually no signs of wear from previous use. The gold lettering is perfection and still as vibrant as the day it was pressed.

The vinyl surfaces are amazing and are easily in EXCELLENT ++ condition with only one or two extremely faint marks to speak of and certainly nothing which detracts from the out of this world audio. This is right up there with the best examples of the record that I’ve seen.

The sleeve is the original ‘gold’ example and is OK but does have some wear to the rear flip-backs so I would only grade a GOOD+

 ~

All in all this is a one off package that will never been seen for sale again as a set, these press shots are rare if not unique and to have them with a record as beautiful as this one and a full set of signatures is simply amazing.

Good luck and please ask if you have any questions or information on this wonderful lot.
