An absolutely fantastic record, almost impossible to find especially in this condition. Doubt whether one will ever locate a better copy of this exceptionally scarce mispressing.Hardly any copies seen these days so what a rarity this record is !!

PMC 7027 Yellow/black Parlophone Released 1967

THE complete original package of this extremely rare misprint, with NEAR MINT insert, and NEAR MINT plain white inner sleeve-THE ORIGINAL special patent credited.This is a very rare  second press as the red/white fools inner sleeve was not issued with this mispressing and was a later issue.

Beautifully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve-THE genuine article-exactly as it was when the blatant mispress on the label was produced!! ONLY a very small number   issued making this record one of the most highly sought after by collectors worldwide and virtually impossible to locate. THE SCARCEST and THE MOST RAREST BEATLES’ RECORD!!

Sleeve

Printed & made Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve with very thick laminated coat on inside and outside faces. Very strong vivid coloration compared to the earlier issues .The blue projects more prominently and the reds/yellows are stronger and look quite stunning! Front/rear outer faces show no noticeable ring wear. Quite unusual on these sleeves. Spine solid and square with no splitting so common on Pepper gatefolds. NO distinctive creases in laminate on main faces. NO wear on edges!!! Only two corner scuffs!!! Just a slight 2.5 cms. tear on front face of opening edge.Hardly noticeable.A fantastic gatefold, so many damaged/heavily worn but this one is sensational! Opens to display superb sunshine yellow inner faces with fold over flaps! Absolutely perfect internal spinal ridge projecting crisply from central fold.NO thickening to the opening edges found on so many of these sleeves which were found to be heavily handled and massively damaged on the spinal areas and edges.Minimal feathering if any  . A beautiful presentation of this highly desirable record.

Near mint minus save for the slight nick!!! So difficult to find in this condition!

Insert

Original cutout insert in near mint condition.A 2cms biro mark and that’s all! NO edge/cornerwear!!! Beautiful!

Inner

Plain white-genuine original issue with patents applied for and made in Great Britain credits.Near mint minus with no rips/tears, just a couple of age spots! What a package on offer here!!

Vinyl

What a feel to this!!! To hold THE rarest Beatles mispress!!! What a buzz one gets from this vinyl ! Virtually impossible to find in this stunning condition. Thickly pressed. Solid heavy weight. A phenomenal record!Vinyl surfaces are quite stunning under ordinary light conditions.An incredible vinyl as most records are found heavily marked with plenty of hairlines/scuffs. BUT NOT this one !!! If angled against a strong light, will detect some extremely light sleeve brushings/marks but NO ugly markings prominent.  Both surfaces have a distinctive sheen and are highly reflective. One surface is NEAR MINT under ordinary light! The other surface has only three/four visible very light surface marks .I must stress that these marks can only be detected if angled under a strong light and are quite difficult to pick up. Have to scrutinise very closely to observe and hold the surfaces at different angles before detection. Hardly visible !!! One solitary scratch in one of the run offs –side 2 can be observed !! So visual grading is at least a solid excellent ++!! Very close to near mint minus grading!!A real beauty! Absolutely stunning!

Incredible surfaces, normally found heavily played but this one has a minimal playing history and has been looked after over the years. Possibly played I would guess around a dozen times , judging from surfaces / labels!

Labels

Yellow/Black Parlophone!! The Gramophone Co./ Made in Great Britain credits. Sold in the UK text. Light spindle traces on both sides.Super labels with NO mottling. These labels are the most collectable of the Beatles releases  and are MEGA MEGA RARE!!! Stunning to behold and it is sad that only a few of you will ever have the pleasure to witness such an historical mispress as only a very small number were actually printed in this way.Excellent condition and  absolutely superb! NO mottling ….no ugly blemishes…Superb !

Audio

Crystal clear grooves. The monotone delivery conveyed with a pin point accuracy and yet with a warm punch! NO hisses!! NO crackles!!! NO pops!!! A near perfect aural delivery. The scratch on side 2 in the run off is heard only for 3-4 seconds during the fade out of the final track and its effect on the presentation is negligible. A phenomenal audio with the most awesome tones that only a mono recording can give. It is very seldom that one finds an audio presentation on a huge selling Beatles’ classic so clear , operating to near perfection, with the minimal of distortion detected.NO surface noise and little in the way of static disturbance! THE best that you are ever likely to hear!!! How’s that for class and utter distinction!

Well, what can I say. THE rarest and possibly THE best Sgt. Pepper album release lies tantalisingly within your grasp. An excellent album sleeve, a near mint cut out insert, and the vinyl surfaces reflecting a mirror like sheen, very similar to mint vinyl. The very scarce labels, that most never have the pleasure to view, in excellent condition. The audio is truly sensational and puts the icing on to an already very rich cake!

A Beatles’ mispress in this superb condition, makes this album of true investment quality and should be treasured for many years to come. A remarkable record not to be missed.
