THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE 1968 LP BY THE BEATLES ENTITLED " THE BEATLES" BUT MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "WHITE ALBUM". THIS COPY IS A UK FIRST PRESS IN STEREO CATALOGUE NUMBER APPLE PCS7067/8. THIS COPY COMES WITH THE FIRST PRESS TOP OPENING GATEFOLD SLEEVE AND HAS THE NUMBER 326485. IT ALSO HAS THE COMPLETE SET OF FOUR POSTCARDS AND POSTER LYRIC SHEET.
THE HEAVY FIRST PRESS VINYL, MATRIX NUMBER YEX 709-1,YEX 710-1, YEX 711-2 AND YEX 712-1, IS IN VERY GOOD+ CONDITION . THE VINYL HAS RETAINED A NICE SHEEN. THERE ARE A FEW LIGHT SUPERFICIAL MARKS ON ALL SIDES BUT THE LP PLAYS WELL. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE ENTIRE RECORD AT HIGH VOLUME AND IT WAS A REAL PLEASURE TO LISTEN TOO. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE AND TWO VERY LIGHT TICKS AT THE END OF "LONG LONG LONG" BUT OVERALL I AM HAPPY TO GRADE THE AUDIO AS VERY GOOD++. THE LABELS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.
THE GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE TOP OPENING GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN VERY GOOD+ CONDITION. THERE IS SOME LAMINATE LIFT ON THE SPINE AND SOME STORAGE WEAR TO THE CORNERS BUT IT STILL LOOKS EXCELLENT WHEN OPENED UP. THERE ARE A FEW LIGHT MARKS AT THE REAR OF THE COVER BUT THESE DO NOT DETRACT.
THE POSTCARDS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE POSTER IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH SOME CREASING AND ABOUT A 4 INCH SEPERATION ALONG ONE SEAM. IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE BLACK INNERS.
THE VINYL HAS THE MOTHER STAMPERS OF 1LR, 1HO, 1G AND 1GGP.
OVERALL A VERY NICE PLAYABLE COPY OF THIS RARE LP.

The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
