Description
In a way The Way We Live/Tractor were Dandelion's Mighty Baby. Here they are backing singer/songwriter Beau on his second album, Creation. On offer is an original UK stereo LP copy of Beau's beautiful Creation - another rare album (DAN 8006) on John Peel's sought-after Dandelion label. It's The Way We Live who give this album it's clout and its atmosphere ... check out the astral eeriness of April Meteor, the wah-wah guitar on Ferris Street and the full-on fuzz guitar that shatters the peace on Silence Returns. These delightful Dandelion labels show very little spindle activity (see photos), indicating little play over the years, and in natural light the disc looks excellent while examination under harsh halogen lighting shows up just a little surface scuffing and one small mark, none of which affects play. This album performs well, without jumping, sticking or clicking, and the music is bright and clear with virtually no background noise, not even on the run-ins or in between tracks. Both sides of the disc are shiny and black and the disc lies perfectly flat on the turntable. This rare original Dandelion disc comfortably grades VG (UK Record Collector grading). The original unlaminated single sleeve was always a vulnerable cover and this one rates G+, with no unwanted writing, no sticker tears and no rips but ringwear, rubbing and edgewear, including the spine. And yet this sleeve is fully intact with no tears at all and is therefore reasonably presentable (see photos) and should suffice to house your vinyl until a mint one lands in your lap.
