BEAU DENTURIES: Don't Quit Now/Straight Home (Encore 1001, US 1966)
Killer snotty fuzz-punk 2-sider by this band from Akron, Ohio. The B-side "Straight Home" tells the story of a blind date with a downright ugly girl and has been comped on HIGHS #21 and RIOT CITY. Both sides appeared on PSYCHEDELIC STATES - OHIO #1. This 45 is VERY HARD TO FIND! Note: as THE YELLOW PAGES the group recorded a version of the Kinks' "Where Have All The Good Times Gone" (on Encore) the next year. This also appeared as THE ZOO on the Parkway label.
Strict grading. Record = VG+
